Cookie Policy

Our website uses cookies. By using our website and agreeing to this policy, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.

About cookies

Cookies are a kind of short-term memory for the web. They are stored in your browser and enable a site to ‘remember’ little bits of information between pages or visits. Cookies can be used by web servers to identify and track users as they navigate different pages on a website, and to identify users returning to a website. Cookies may be either “persistent” cookies or “session” cookies. A persistent cookie consists of a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, which will be stored by the browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date (unless deleted by the user before the expiry date). A session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.

Cookies on our website

We use both session cookies and persistent cookies on our website.

Blocking cookies

Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies. For example:

  • In Microsoft Edge click on the three dots icon in the top right-hand corner and select “Settings”. Locate “Cookies and site permissions”. Under the “Cookies and data stored” heading click “Manage and delete cookies and site data” where you can select “Block only third-party cookies”. You can also switch the “Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)” toggle off. You will then have to re-start Microsoft Edge.
  • In Firefox you can block cookies from all websites by clicking the 3 lines menu button and selecting ‘Settings’. If you choose the “Privacy & Security” panel, in the “Enhanced Tracking “Protection” section, select ‘customer and check mark “Cookies”. Use the drop-down menu to select the type of cookies you wish to block. Firefox does warn that some sites won’t work properly with all cookies blocked. When you’re finished close the “about: preferences” page. Any changes you’ve made will be automatically saved. More information can be found on Mozilla Support.
  • In Google Chrome you can adjust your cookie permissions by clicking on the three dots icon in the top right-hand corner of your browser screen, selecting “Settings” from near the bottom of the drop-down list, then click on “Privacy and security”. “From there, click on Cookies and other site data”. There you can unselect the “Allow all cookies” option.
  • On Safari on Apple OS X click on the Safari menu, then “Preferences” then “Privacy”, you can always block cookies by selecting “block all cookies”. This means websites, third parties, and advertisers can’t store cookies and other data on your Mac. This may prevent some websites from working properly. More information can be found on Apple Support.
  • For Opera choose “Settings”, then select “Advanced” in the left sidebar and lick “Privacy & Security”. From there, hit “Site settings” then choose “Cookies and site data”. At the top, you can turn “Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)” on or off.

Blocking all cookies will, however, have a negative impact on the usability of many websites. If you block cookies, you may not be able to use certain features on our website (access content, use search functions).

Deleting cookies

You can also delete cookies already stored on your computer:

  • In Microsoft Edge click on the three dots icon in the top right-hand corner and select “Settings”. Under “Privacy, search, and services” click “choose what to clear” next to “Clear browsing data now”, select the checkbox next to “Cookies and other site website data” then click on “Clear Now”. If you wish you can “choose what to clear every time you close the browser” by clicking on this option (under “clear browsing data” heading in the “Privacy, search, and services” options.
  • To delete all cookies but keep other data in Firefox, click on the three lines icon menu button and choose “History” and select “Clear recent history”. In the window that appears set the time range to clear to “Everything”. Select “Cookies, while ensuring that all other items you wish to keep are not ticked. Click “ok” to clear all cookies and close the “Clear All History” window. More information can be found on Mozilla Support.
  • In Google Chrome click on the three dots icon in the top right-hand corner, select “Settings” and under “Privacy and security” scroll down until you get to the section titled: “Privacy and security”. From there click “Clear browsing data. Make sure “Cookies and other site data” is selected and select “All time” from the Time range drop-down menu. Once you’ve done this, click the blue “Clear data” button.
  • On Safari on Apple OS X click on the Safari menu, then “Preferences” then “Privacy”, you can always remove stored cookies and data by clicking “Manage Website Data”, selecting one or more websites then clicking “Remove” or “Remove All”. Apple warns removing the data may reduce tracking but may also log you out of websites or change website behaviour for the websites you visit where you have removed all cookies. More information can be found on Apple Support.
  • For Opera, press ‘Ctrl+Shift+Del to bring up your “Clear browsing data” options. Make sure “Cookies and Site data” is selected and click “clear data”.

Doing this may limit the usability of many websites.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us using the contact details on our contact page if you have any questions or queries regarding how we use cookies or anything else on our website.

I'd had a problem with my big toe nail for over two years. I thought it would eventually get better on its own but it didn't. So I made an appointment with Sharron. I was a bit apprehensive but I shouldn't have been because Sharron was so lovely, caring and professional and importantly resolved the problem with one visit and a follow up. I must also mention Fiona, the practice manager, who was also very pleasant, kind and welcoming. A good all round experience. I highly recommend them.

Sharron is extremely knowledgable. She diagnosed and suggested actions for multiple foot and toe issues as well as performing good chiropody. Recommend.

My 8 year old son saw Sharon as had a Verruca that wasn't going away with over the counter treatments and was infact getting worse on his foot. Sharon explained the best course of action and gave us options of what we could do to minimise discomfort and treatments available going forward. Both Sharon and the lady on reception (sorry didnt get her name)were lovely and would definitely recommend.

If there was ever a company that deserved a 5 star review it is this one! The customer service here is exceptional from all the staff members they go above and beyond for their customers, especially Fiona who helped by recommending specific podiatry products to treat my fungal nail infection. I highly recommend Sandy & Bielby their vast knowledge and expertise of products exceeded my expectations every time I spoke to them. By far the best Podiatry Clinic in Calderdale.

I have had a verruca on my left foot for years. I have tried everything to get rid of it, Bazooka and everything else you can think of, to no avail. Then I saw that Sandy & Bielby used this new Verrutop treatment. In desperation I thought give it a try. Well believe it or not in only two treatments the damn thing fell off. Wow well if that's not impressive I don't know what is. So if you have a verruca then this is definitely the best place to go without question. Plus there are two very attractive ladies to assist you. What more could you ask for.
